Wrongfully Accused!

As much as I don’t want to react on blogs posted for the past few days and as to Erick’s suggestion, I really don’t want to just shut up. My blood was up to a boiling point when I read a blog of this person I don’t even know, wrongfully accusing Erick of cheating. Have God denied you of a kind spirit? Is there so much fun in trampling on someone’s dignity? Or maybe you just want to be famous?  The heck, I don’t know what your intentions are, but I hope you’re happy where you are right now.

Do you even know who Rhoderick Guieb is? I know a lot of eyebrows would be raised with this post but please FORGIVE me and give me this platform to defend my husband. Erick had finished Bataan Death March Race BDM102 in 15hours 6minutes ranking 26th out of 104 runners. He even placed 10th overall at the TNF50 trail run in Baguio City and not to mention his age-group winning in several duathlon and triathlons. This is my message to you and to those who judge first not even knowing the “other” side of the story, may GOD bless you!

Congratulations to your husband he inspires us all , regards – patrick concepcion / runningshield

  2. I understand how you feel let. When I saw your husband’s finish time, and is lacking splits, my thoughts was something must have gone wrong.

    Congrats to your husband!

  3. the reports of cheating really saddened me but wrongfully accusing people compounds the sad situation. I truly understand how you feel. I hope this would serve as a lesson for us bloggers to do our homework and investigate first before writing anything and even naming names. Prudence is in order. Let us not trample on people’s good reputations. – Mariel

@Mariel – thanks for dropping by, thanks for understanding my sentiments, I just don’t want other people saying bad things to my family, it’s family first for me, and I know that a lot of us would agree on that.

@Tin – I was really upset yesterday when I read the post, it’s hurting to know that some people would just be saying trash things to a member of your family. But a friend told me to look at the brighter side saying that the post just made my husband famous. 🙂

@Sir Patrick – sir, I couldn’t thank you enough for the kind words you said about me and my family. It’s humbling to know that a person like you would come to our rescue, you have my high regards. Thank you so much. 🙂

I guess now he knows better… and more importantly he now knows Let and Erick Guieb… you may want to introduce him to the wonder twins… hehe 🙂 see you around…

  5. Let, try not to worry much. Erick and your family’s reputation is safe. Yes, Erick’s name was momentarily dragged into this, but the mistake has been corrected and apologies have been offered. The bright side is more people know now the kind of runner Erick is and how wonderful his family is.
